Abstract

This research entitled Adaptation study between novel
Shadow and Bone and Its movie series version developed by Eric Heisserer. This research aims to analyze the ekranisasi process by Pamusuk Eneste of both works. The theories used in conducting this research are the theory Wellek and Warren and theory of ekranisasi by Pamusuk Eneste. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. This data obtained by reading, highlighting, watching, and comparing the differences both of them. The results shows that there
are some process of ekranisasi namely 1 in reduction, 5 in additions, 10 in modifications. The process of ekranisasi happens because the book and the movie are two separate types of media.
