Abstract

Poetry included as one literary woks that has a special characteristics, and it usually can be said as an extraordinary literary works. In this research, the researcher discuss the ten translation of Milk and Honey poems translated into Susu dan Madu by Daniel Kurnia. The aim of this research is to find out what kind of poetry translation strategy according to Levefere that are used by the translator to translates the choosen poetry, and its translation acceptability. The researcher analyzes both English and Indonesian version of the collected data using descriptive qualitative methods. It can be concluded that there are only five strategy found from the collected data, they are phonemic translation, literal translation, blank verse translation, rhymed translation, and interpretation translation strategy.
