Abstract

This Research was conducted to analyze the politeness strategy used by Lilo and Nani in Lilo and Stitch Animation Movie. The research describe what dominants of politeness strategy was conducted to answer the following problemes. (1) What are the strategies of positive politeness used by the character in Animation movie Lilo and Stitch? (2) What is the most dominant strategy used by the character in Animation movie Lilo and Stitch?. The researcher uses a qualitative description that analyze the text and film as data to determine the characteristics of Politeness Strategy in the movie “Lilo and Stitch” . The result of this stufy found 31 data in 15 types of Positive polieteness were used , the most dominant types or most used by Positive politeness characters was Notice attend, Exaggerate, Assert or presuppose, and Give gifts ods, sympathy, understanding, cooperation). The character that often appears in this features is Lilo. Lilo often asking Nani her sister to assume her request, Lilo also usually induce Nani to make her wish come true.
