Abstract
The Power of Women Language Used Against Men In Bombshell Movie is the title of this study. The goal of this study was to identify the features of women's language that make it powerful when women are perceived as weak due of their polite speech in the movie Bombshell (2018). The primary theory used in this study was Robin Lakoff's Women Language theory. The qualitative descriptive method was used to carry out this study. The researcher examines the words, phrases, and sentences that have the Women Language qualities in the data. Based on Lakoff's theory, the results showed 62 data that contained the Women Language feature. Lexical Hedges or Fillers, Hypercorrect Grammar, Superpolite Form, Tag Questions, Rising Intonation on Declaratives, Empty Adjectives, Avoidance of Strong Swear Words, and Empathic Stress are some of the qualities that have been observed. The most frequently utilized characteristics are fillers, also known as lexical hedges, and intensifiers. Lexical Hedges or Filler is one of the features used to demonstrate politeness since it illustrates the doubts that women face when they are cornered.
