Abstract

Literature is a work of art expressed through a series of words. In general, authors of literary works describe psychological phenomena in story characterizations to serve as a means of conveying life values. Likewise, the film Cruella depicts the characterization of the main character Estella or Cruella, which is interesting to study. This research focuses on the personality structure and dissociative identity disorders experienced by the main character (Estella or Cruella). According to Psychoanalytic Theory by Sigmund Freud, trauma during childhood is most likely to cause dissociative identity disorders in someone's personality. It is in childhood that personality begins to develop and form. The results of this research are as follows: (1) To reveal the personality structure of the character Estella or Cruella in he film Cruella. (2) To reveal Dissociative Identity Disorder in the film Cuella. Researchers use the theory put forward by Sigmund Freud with data collection techniques. The data were collected by several watches of the movie, reading the movie script, deep understanding, and highlighting some important parts or dialogues found in the movie script.
