Abstract

This research is entitled “Intertextual Study of a Movie Entitled Bohemian Rhapsody.” The purposes of this research are to find the hypograms of the movie and then analyze the process of allusions, adaptations, indications, and quotations in the film. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. The theories used in this research are the theory of intertextuality by Julia Kristeva, the theory of hypograms by Ratna, and the micro intertextual model analysis by Ahmadian and Yazdani. The result of this research is that the researcher found 10 hypograms, 6 allusions, 7 adaptations, and 2 quotations, and no indications were found in the film.
