Abstract
This research entitled "A Study of Female Survival in the Film 'Nowhere': A Sociological Reflection Analysis," examines how women's strength is depicted through the character of Mia, a pregnant woman trying to survive in difficult situations. This research stems from growing concern about the unfair treatment of women and their representation in films. Survival stories in media often reveal the struggles women endure due to unfair social norms and dominant male systems. The goals of this study are to explore Mia's physical and mental strength, understand how women survive in strict or controlling settings, and identify the ways women manage to stay alive as mothers. The study uses a detailed description method and a theory by Alan Swingewood about social reflection to analyze the
film. The findings reveal that 'Nowhere' portrays women not only as victims but also as fighters. It emphasizes how motherhood can be both a vulnerable and empowering aspect of a woman's life while addressing the broader issues women
face in society.
