Abstract
This research is titled 'Analysis of the Main Character in the Movie Cruella Using Abraham Maslow's Hierarchy of Human Needs Theory'. Therefore, this research aims to reveal what needs the main character wants to achieve. This Research uses Abraham Maslow's theory and applies a descriptive qualitative method. The character of Estella, who later adopted the persona of Cruella, was analyzed in relation to Maslow's five levels of needs: physiological, safety, love
and belonging, esteem, and self-actualization. In addition, the research also reveals that unmet needs on multiple levels contribute to her complex personality, motivations, and her rebellion against social norms. Through this perspective, this thesis not only delves into the psychological depth of the character but also highlights the broader implications regarding the fulfillment of human needs and the development of personal identity.
