Abstract
The purposes of this research are to classify the emotions of the expressive acts and to determine the translation methods applied in translating the All the Bright Places
movie. The research approach applied is descriptive qualitative by collecting and analyzing the data from the All the Bright Places movie and its subtitles. In the
research, the researcher applies the Classification of Emotions by David Krech et al. (1969) and Translation Methods by Peter Newmark (1988) as the theories to
analyze the data. As a result, the researcher found 10 out of 12 emotions and 6 out of 8 methods. The most dominant emotion classified is Anger, and the least are Grief, Pride, and Pleasure. Meanwhile, the most dominant translation method is Faithful, and the least is Adaptation.
