Abstract
As systemic negative impact of global corporatism that makes up monopolistic nature of big corporations, state exists with less and less power. This trend has transformed both State and Society into danger. It seems high time that rethinking and redefining the power of state were initiated and promoted to insure regaining people‘s sovereignty and proper role of state‘s power. The paper is an attempt to reconstruct such thinking by prominent thinkers. Method used in the research is both reflective and analytical. Relevant data are gathered through library research. The finding of the study is that there is an urgent need for putting the power of state back in; and that there is a strong demand that state actors and academics in this field to develop a sound approach to make power of state meaningful and effective. Key words: power of state, re-thinking the philosophy of state, impact of global corporatism.
