Abstract

Bambang Hermawan, Word Formation Analysis In English Translation Of Surah Al-Mulk By Malik And Recited By Mishary Rashed Alafasy Thesis. This research provides an analysis of word formation in Surah Al-Mulk. The data in this thesis were taken from the English Translation of the Holy Qur'an by Mishary Rashed Alafasy. This undergraduate thesis was using word formation processes theory by George Yule (2010) to find out the types of Word Formation in Surah Al-Mulk. The research methodology is the descriptive qualitative method since the collected data are in the form of sentences. The writer found 51 data on word formation in the English translation of the Holy Qur'an Surah Al-Mulk. Specifically, there were 2 clipping processes and 49 derivation processes. The derivation was the most dominant process that is found in Surah Al-Mulk. There were 49 data from the total 51 of the data.
