Abstract

Data on motor vehicles in the Jakarta area increases every year, but an increase in motor vehicle tax revenue does not accompany this. This also happens in West Jakarta, every year tax objects that have not extended their motor vehicle tax periods increase. Therefore, to increase motor vehicle taxpayer compliance, Korlantas launched an innovative National Digital Samsat Application (SIGNAL) which aims to increase public compliance in paying motor vehicle tax with the convenience of the SIGNAL Application. This research aims to determine the innovation of the SIGNAL application in increasing motor vehicle tax compliance at the West Jakarta Samsat. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation based on 3 (three) indicators, namely relative superiority, suitability, and complexity. The research results show that the SIGNAL Application Innovation as measured by indicators has superior efficiency, quality, and time effectiveness compared to the previous system. The SIGNAL Application is also by community needs and existing procedures at Samsat although it is necessary to increase socialization to the community. It is not complicated to use, but it is necessary to increase customer service responsiveness. Keywords: Motor Vehicle Tax, Innovation, SIGNAL Application, Taxpayer Compliance
