Abstract

This thesis is titled Defense mecanism in the film script "Luckiest Girl Alive" The
purpose of this research is to find out the personality disorder in the main character.
In this research, I analyze the defense mecanism in the main character by using
Sigmund Freud''s psychoanalysis theory. Writing this thesis using a qualitative
descriptive method, data was collected from the main character''s conversations and
behaviors revealed in the film. The results of this analysis show that the main
character, Ani, has two self-defense mechanisms carried out by the main character,
namely Repression and Denial. This thesis is titled Defense mecanism in the film
