Abstract

This research paper. tilled "Translatio n Ana lys is of Zoology Terms Based on
Translation from Indonesian into English in the Zoology Museum Bogar" engages
with zoolo gical terms in the l ext panel o f museum exhi bitio ns. focusing on zoolog ical
tenns and translat io n techniques. The data is analysed using a descriptive qualit ative
method as this study aims to explore and categorise the zoological terms us ing
Marvalee Wake theory of discipline o f zoology and to assess the translation
techniques using Molina and Albic (2002) 18 translatio n techniques. The research
finds a 10Ial of 127 table of Source Language and Target language from 63 photos I
took in the Zoology Museum Bogar. Furthermo re. the study ind ical cs that the
majori ty of zoological terms were used the Established Equi val ent Techniques.
ro llowed by Literal and Loan translatio n techn iq ues. For that reason. th ese find ings
o rfer va luable insight s into the use or zoological terms and translution techniques in
the museum exhibitions panel. refl ect ing how in ro rmati ve. easy to understand, quite
complex narrati ve. to Inuke il easier to understand ror local and roreign tourists.
