Abstract

The aim of this study to analyze the similarities in intrinsic elements between Asato Asato 86 (Eighty-Six) and George Orwell Animal Farm novels and also to examine the intrinsic elements differ between Asato Asato 86 (Eighty-Six) and George Orwell Animal Farm novels. The research method employed in this study is qualitative research. Technique of this research is doing close reading and collecting data in the form of all words, sentences, or dialogues in each novel that shows the intrinsic elements to compare the differences. This research was conducted with a thorough the technique of reading repeatedly to capture the meaning and note important things in analyzing the novels. Results of this research known that both of the authors introduce their characters in the beginning and the middle of the story. Both of the novels create the same time settings such as morning and night. Both of the novels are drawn from Social Inequality background. Both authors also use the same perspective in which they use third person point of view. Both novels have almost the same topical theme in which emphasizing the meaning of cruelty of human being that can be a cause of discrimination problems.
