Abstract
Studies on international economy has become interesting given the anomaly of different economies and economic crises across the globe especially Asia in the last decade. The paper discusses the nature of services provided by worldwide economic monetary institution, IMF, whose role in the world affairs has been crucial. Description of the organization is made along with some comments on their critical issues of its mechanisms. Relevant theoretical perspectives are used in the account. The paper comes to some suggestions that includes the necessity for IMF to take more effective measures in order for some economies to be able to escape from their respective economic crises.
