Abstract
Experience of democracy in Indonesia continued to show his form of political power after the fall of the New Order in 1998. However, realization of democracy was not yet seen as crucial, given that democracy is run then in procedural matters. This is caused by the presence of too forced bond between decentralization and political integration. Though they can not be enforced in the same concept towards democratic maturity. Decentralization and political integration remains to be seen as a distinct concept, therefore the load must be improved to make it better again. Do not push the use of these two concepts along the quality of democracy in Indonesia yet. Key word : decentralization, political integration
