Abstract
This research entitled translation analysis of figurative language in “Lover” album by Taylor Swift and its translation quality in Indonesian. This research aims to identify types of figurative language, to find out translation method used in translating figurative language, and to find out the impact of translation method used by the translator toward its translation. This is a descriptive qualitative research. The data is song lyric which taken from Musixmatch app. The result shows that there are 66 data that have figurative languages in song lyrics. Furthermore, the most figurative language used in song lyric is hyperbole. There are 4 out of 8 methods that are applied by the translator, namely word for word, literal, faithful, and free translation methods. Literal translation method is frequently used. However, literal translation method has a good impact on translation.
