Abstract

Teenagers usually use different or specific language, although the sentence structure usually follow the formal language. This study was conducted on articles publisedin three teenagers magazines, i.e. Majalah Gadis, HAI, and Kawanku, due to the hypothesis that there were distortion in language use m teenagers magazines, either in sentence structure or diction.In this work we studied the syntax function by analysis the declarative sentence structure from the element of its content, i.e. subject, predicate or verb, object, pelengkap, and adverb. Results of the study showed that bahasa tulis in those three teenagers magazines could be catagorized into two catagories, that is sentences which have complete syntax element and structure, and sentences which did not have complete syntax element and structure
