Abstract

This study entitled “Tony’s Search for Meaning in the Series After Life: A Logotherapy Perspective” aims to analyze the main character, Tony, in the After Life series with a focus on how his character is formed, how he faces a crisis about the meaning of life, and his process of finding the meaning of life using the logotherapy approach pioneered by Viktor E. Frankl. This study uses logotherapy theory to see how Tony's journey reflects the three main pillars in logotherapy, namely the freedom to make decisions, the desire to find the meaning of life, and the meaning of life itself. The method used is descriptive qualitative, by analyzing selected scenes and dialogues to see the development of Tony's nature and behavior throughout the story. The results showed that the sense of hopelessness and withdrawal that Tony experienced after his wife's departure slowly turned into a new life purpose. The meaning of life that he found emerged after he accepted the value of attitude, the value of experience, and the value of creativity, which helped him choose constructive attitudes, appreciate meaningful experiences, and make positive contributions to others.
