Abstract
The research is to test production of hybrid of Capsium Annum L. The test was conducted at the Kebun Percobaan PKHT of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), at Ciawi. The hypothesis of the study is that the production capacity is the same or higher than those at the controled plants located at the Kebun Percobaan PKHT IPB Ciawi. The test was held from end of November 2012 to end of May 2013.Several materials of ”cabai hybrida harapan” used are of 11 variants provided by IPB. As the controled plants, five commericla hybrids are used. The method used is random group with the genotype (hybrida) as object of treatment consisting of three (3) block of repetition. Each test is repeated three times. Analsyses of data uses SIDIK RAGAM, and whenever it proves significant, Dunnet of 5% level is used. The finding of the experiment shows that the genotype of hybrid under study has the same level of production as the controlled plants, with better products in terms of length of leaves, wieght, density of leather.
